Yes. Searching, viewing listings and contacting businesses is free, and you don't need an account.

Licensed trades start from the State of Florida's public license records. Phone numbers, websites and addresses come from openly licensed business data, and from business owners once we have confirmed who they are. We do not copy listings from other directories. More about how listings work.

The business holds a state contractor license that was current and active the last time we checked the state's records. The license number is shown so you can look it up yourself at myfloridalicense.com. The badge is about the license only; it is not a review or a recommendation.

We re-check every license against the state's public files once a month. Each business page shows the date of the last check. A license can change between checks, so confirm the current status with the state before you hire.

Some trades, such as pest control and handyman work, are not licensed through the state contractor board, so there is no contractor license to show. Pest control companies are licensed by a different state agency. A missing badge can also mean a license was not current at our last check. Our guides explain who licenses each trade.

Free listings are alphabetical: first the businesses based in the city or county you are viewing, then those that serve it from nearby. The only paid position is the Featured spot at the top of a category, and it is always labeled Featured.

No. We are a directory, not a contractor, and we don't vet workmanship. Check the license, ask for proof of insurance, get the scope and price in writing, and avoid paying in full up front.

Use the "Report a problem" link at the bottom of that listing. A person reviews every report.

We are adding Florida county by county. The map on the home page shows the counties covered today.

Basic listings are created from public records: the state's list of active contractor licenses, matched with openly licensed business data for a phone number and website. The listing is free.

The most common reason is that we have no phone number or website for you. A listing is only published when a customer has a way to reach the business. Other reasons: the name on your license differs from the name you trade under, your license isn't shown as current and active, your trade isn't one we list yet, or your business is new. Use the form on the Get listed page. It's free. We confirm each request with the business before publishing.

Use the "Report a problem" link on your listing, or email tradepostlocal@gmail.com. For changes to a phone number, website or name, and for removals, we verify that the request comes from the business first.

We re-check every license against the state's files once a month, so a renewal appears after the next check once the state has processed it. If your listing still shows an old status after that, tell us through "Report a problem".

The licensed badge comes off and the license table shows the status from the state's records. We don't automatically remove a listing over a lapse; we review those by hand.

Featured puts your business first in its category for a county, with your logo, photos, a services list and a special offer, and no competitors suggested on your page. It is $27 a month with no contract. See the details.

No. License details come from the state, and free listings stay alphabetical. Featured placement is separate and always labeled.

Yes. We count clicks on your website, phone number and directions, and how often your listing is shared. Featured businesses can ask for a monthly report.
